SMC-Kolpino delivers about 42 tons of products for the cement industry
January 17, 2018

SMC-Kolpino (“Severstal Russian Steel” division) will  deliver about 42 tons of products to the entity on production of the cement located in Volkhov of the Leningrad Region until the end of February 2018.

In particular, SMC-Kolpino will ship 7 feedwells with a diameter from 3 to 3,6 meters which will be a part of a design for roasting of  cement clinker. The feedwell represents an open cylindrical or conic element of  a metal construction. Such products are demanded in a construction, mechanical engineering, oil-processing and mining industry. Today SMC-Kolpino has an opportunity to issue feedwells with a diameter up to 4,5 meters.

The products will be produced by method of rolling of plate metal on the four-roll hydraulic sheet bending machine. The aggregate was  established in 2013 at the entity, and in 2016 it was retrofitted by side and central supports that increased machine output and increased safety of  technological transactions. In total since 2015 the metalcenter has delivered over 70 tons of feedwells of big diameter to the companies releasing construction materials.

“The production of similar non-standard products is a perspective and interesting direction for the entity. The consumer receives the  product executed by individual technological parameters, and the metalcenter receives an opportunity to issue products with a high value added. The new order allowed to increase production of feedwells and became a one more stage in strengthening of the cooperation with the entities of the region,” — the director of SMC-Kolpino Ivan Antimonov comments.
